Business Contracts
The market place is changing quickly, and many businesses run into significant trouble by assuming that older form contracts provide sufficient protection for current commercial issues. This is especially true when the subject of the agreement involves new technologies or methods of distribution. Furthermore, standard contracts being used by businesses are often the result of years of “cutting and pasting” by business people though well intentioned, are addressing only the particulars of the deal at hand. We routinely prepare and/or review both standard and non-standard contracts used by our clients in connection with their businesses. While no contract can be expected to cover all future contingencies, it is critical to long-term success that common pit-falls be avoided and likely contingencies addressed. More often than not, the up-front expense of having a business attorney involved in preparing and/or reviewing a business agreement is a fraction of the cost of just one legal dispute.
