Rick currently serves on various Bar committees, including the Intellectual Property Board Certification Committee, is a former Chair of Editorial Board for The Florida Bar Journal and News, and served on the Civil Procedure Rules Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Salesian Youth Center Boys and Girls Club, an inner-city after-school and summer child care facility, and is very active in various church ministries.

Additionally, Rick serves as Adjunct Law Professor at the Stetson University College of Law, where he teaches Federal Civil Pre-Trial Practice and Strategy, and previously taught Federal Pre-Trial Practice.
