In addition to being a member of The Florida Bar, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the District of Colorado, the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a member of The Federal Bar Association and The American Intellectual Property Law Association.<\/p>\n<p>Rick is a recognized leader in The Florida Bar, the local bar, and his community. He has repeatedly been named as one of Florida\u2019s Legal Elite\u00ae by <em>Florida Trend Magazine<\/em>, and also as one of Florida\u2019s SuperLawyers\u00ae. Rick currently serves on various Bar committees, including the Intellectual Property Board Certification Committee, is a former Chair of Editorial Board for The Florida Bar Journal and News, and served on the Civil Procedure Rules Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Salesian Youth Center Boys and Girls Club, an inner-city after-school and summer child care facility, and is very active in various church ministries.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Rick serves as Adjunct Law Professor at the Stetson University College of Law, where he teaches Federal Civil Pre-Trial Practice and Strategy, and previously taught Federal Pre-Trial Practice. Rick has also served the City of Tampa, Florida, as Assistant City Attorney for adult use litigation. He lectures frequently on topics involving business litigation and 1st Amendment issues, and is an award-winning author of articles on constitutional and business law topics, including the \u201cLost and Destroyed Instruments\u201d chapter and Practice Commentaries for the \u201cMechanics\u2019 Liens\u201d chapter of<\/p>\n<p>Florida Jurisprudence 2d.
